The battery is a 5 series yuasa which will be placed in the front of the airbox. It is easier (and probably less expensive) to upgrade the suspension on that ttr than to buy an xr400r then pursue putting electric start on it. I have a 2000 model xr 650r, with only kick start and looking to fit an electric start on it.

They have an electric start 200 in japan. The xr650r has virtually nothing in common with either of them. Have done some research and only found a couple starter kits but i wouldnt get much change out of a grand.
